I am an Assistant Professor of Economics in the Haslam College of Business at the University of Tennessee with a joint appointment in the Department of Economics and the Boyd Center for Business and Economic Research.
My research focuses on taxation and public policy. In my job market paper I found that the responsiveness of employees to taxes declined during the Great Recession, and about two-thirds of this decline can be attributed to changes in the composition of the labor force.
